How does a pre-purchase vehicle inspection work?

Contact the seller

You send us a link to the advert or the seller’s contact details. We arrange a viewing with the car’s owner.

Payment

We’ll let you know the time and place of your meeting with the seller. You pay for the service. An expert will come to inspect the car.

Visual inspection of the car

We carry out an on-site vehicle inspection. The inspection can be carried out without you being present — we’ll send you a video report.

Report and recommendations

We provide the customer with a detailed video report on the actual condition of the car, along with recommendations regarding its price, purchase and running costs.

A pre-purchase vehicle inspection includes:

  • Checking the bodywork for signs of accident damage. Measuring paint thickness with a gauge;

It’s a good idea to have a car checked before you buy it if:

  • You’ve found a car yourself and want to find out all its faults.
  • You’re concerned about some detail regarding the car or its owner.
  • You’re unable to view the car in person (different city, work, etc.).
  • You don’t want to waste your time.

How does a car inspection work?

  • Contacting the owner:
    The customer sends us a link to the advert or the vehicle seller’s contact details. We call the owner and arrange a viewing of the car. Payment for the service is made before the expert sets off.
  • Inspection and check:
    We travel to the location and carry out a comprehensive inspection of the car, including:\

    • Bodywork:
      Inspection of the body’s structural components (pillars, side members, chassis) and external parts (mudguards, doors, bonnet) for defects, signs of dismantling and repainting. Analysis of the quality of post-accident repairs and their impact on the car’s performance. Checking paint thickness using a gauge. Visual assessment of the bodywork for damage.
    • Technical inspection:
      Analysis of engine performance. Checking engine oil and fluid levels. Detection of leaks and seepage. Visual inspection of the braking system, condition of brake discs and tyres.
    • Computer diagnostics:
      Checking electronic control units (ECUs) for faults and verifying the vehicle’s actual mileage.
    • Vehicle interior:
      Visual inspection of the interior for damage, modifications or repainted parts. Checking the operation of comfort systems: air conditioning, electric windows, cruise control, audio system, heated seats and others.
    • Test drive:
      Checking the suspension and gearbox operation whilst driving to detect any unusual noises, vibrations or rattles.
  • Final report:
    We provide the customer with a detailed video report and the expert’s conclusions. You can ask further questions at any time if anything is unclear.

Optional:
The customer may request that we arrange a suspension inspection at a diagnostic centre (STO) and assist with registration formalities.

What is a pre-purchase vehicle inspection?

This is a one-off vehicle inspection carried out by an experienced motoring expert who visits the seller’s premises.


What does the pre-purchase vehicle inspection service cover?

The One-off inspection covers: a bodywork check for resprayed panels including paint thickness measurement, inspection of the engine and gearbox, computer diagnostics of all modules for fault codes and odometer authenticity, a visual check of the interior including buttons and comfort systems, a test drive, plus a video report and the expert’s conclusion.


How much does it cost to have a car checked before buying it?

499 zł — a one-off pre-purchase inspection.

Charged separately:

  • travel outside the city: 1 zł per km, both ways from the city boundary;
  • compression test, endoscopy and wheel alignment (if required).

How soon can an expert come out to inspect the car?

The expert will carry out an inspection on the same day or the day after the request is made, provided that the seller is able to show the car.


Do I need to be present when the car is being inspected?

This isn’t necessary. An expert will inspect the car and provide a video report and their recommendations.


Do you help with re-registering a car?

If a car is recommended for purchase and the customer asks for assistance with the re-registration, for an additional fee we will help to complete the transaction right through to the receipt of the registration certificate and number plates.
